History & Identity

Origins, history and community change

Origins & settlement traditions

University of Ghana research records an account in which Fumbisi was later founded by immigrants from the Mamprusi area who settled among Builsa communities under the leadership of Afina. This is a sensitive settlement tradition that should be reviewed with Fumbisi elders and compared with other accounts.
